This is a build-heavy, high-ownership seat. If you want to architect a platform, own it from the first schema to production, and be the engineer the product actually depends on, this is that role.
About the RoleYou are the technical backbone of a data-heavy, AI-integrated platform. You own its architecture, you build the core, you integrate the AI, and you take it all the way to production on AWS and keep it running. This is not a features-in-someone-else-codebase role. You design the system, you make the calls, and you own the outcome end to end.
You work directly with the client, and alongside developers. The platform's backend, its architecture, and its path to production are yours, and so are the client relationship, communication, and delivery.
What You'll Own- The platform architecture and the backend core: services, data models, and APIs, built by you, not just specced out
- The data layer: ingestion, storage, entity resolution, de-duplication, and retention
- The integrations and AI: email and messaging APIs (Microsoft Graph / Outlook etc), document and file ingestion, and LLM capabilities plugged in with proper guardrails and evaluation
- The full lifecycle on AWS: build, deploy, operate, and keep it reliable in production
- Client expectations, communication, and delivery: you are the technical point of contact, and you own that what ships actually lands
Day-to-Day Responsibilities- Turn product requirements into a platform architecture and a concrete build plan
- Build and ship the backend and its pipelines: high-volume email ingestion, data management, document extraction, and LLM integration
- Own the AWS deployment and keep the platform healthy in production: containers, CI/CD, environments, and monitoring
- Manage the client relationship: set expectations, communicate progress, and drive delivery
- Work alongside the frontend, AI, and QA engineers to keep the whole build moving
Required Qualifications- 3+ years building full stack systems in production, with real ownership, not just feature work inside an existing architecture
- Platform architecture: you have designed multi-service systems from scratch and can reason about data models, APIs, queues, and trade-offs
- Strong data management: schema design, storage, entity resolution and de-duplication, and retention for systems that hold and grow real data over time
- Email / messaging API integration: hands-on experience with Microsoft Graph / Outlook (or comparable email APIs) for high-volume ingestion, parsing, and threading
- Command of the end-to-end platform lifecycle: you have taken a system from architecture through build, deployment, and running it in production, and you know what each stage actually costs
- Production AI/LLM integration: you have built with LLMs in a real product, including structured outputs, retrieval or grounding, and evaluation, not just a one-off API call
- Deep fluency in at least one backend language you move fast in (Python, Node, Go, and the like)
- You own deployment: you are comfortable taking a system to production yourself on AWS, containers and CI/CD included, ECS or EKS, infrastructure-as-code, observability, security hardening
- Strong communication: you can manage client expectations, explain technical trade-offs clearly, and own delivery, not just code
Strong Plus- Document and PDF data extraction, and file ingestion and validation pipelines
- Ticketing, workflow, or routing systems
- Compliance-aware building: audit logging, role-based access control, PII masking, data retention, DPDPA or GDPR
- Multi-language text handling
- High-volume data or text-processing platforms
- Based in or near Gurugram, or able to visit the client site there a few times a month
