Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Interior Designer role based in Gurugram. The Interior Designer will plan and design functional, aesthetically pleasing spaces for residential and commercial projects delivered through Square Yards’ integrated real estate and interiors platform. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing design concepts, preparing layouts, coordinating construction drawings, and selecting FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) aligned with client requirements and budgets. The role involves collaborating closely with architects, project managers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure design intent is maintained throughout execution. The Interior Designer will also participate in client meetings, prepare presentations and mood boards, and support project timelines, quality standards, and overall customer experience.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Interior Design and Architecture to create cohesive, functional, and visually appealing spaces.
- Candidates should possess Space Planning expertise to optimize layouts, circulation, and usability for diverse project types.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in Construction Drawings to translate design concepts into clear, buildable documentation.
- Candidates should possess experience in FF&E selection to specify appropriate furniture, fixtures, finishes, and equipment that meet design and performance requirements.
- Proficiency in relevant design software (such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar tools) for drawings, 3D visualization, and presentations.
- Strong communication, presentation, and client-facing skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional project teams.
- Attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field; prior experience in residential or commercial interior projects is preferred.
