Role Description As an API Integration Engineer at BillCut, you will design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable integrations between BillCut’s platforms and partner financial institutions. In this full-time, on-site role based in New Delhi, you will work closely with product, engineering, and partner teams to understand integration requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions. Your day-to-day work will involve building and testing APIs, monitoring integration performance, diagnosing and resolving issues, and improving reliability and efficiency of data exchange. You will create and maintain technical documentation, implement best practices for security and compliance, and support the rollout of new features and partnerships. Collaboration, clear communication, and a strong focus on quality and stability will be central to your responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data, diagnose integration issues, and optimize system performance.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and debugging complex technical problems across APIs and related services.
- Hands-on software development experience with modern programming languages and frameworks used for API design and implementation.
- Experience with integration work, including RESTful APIs, webhooks, middleware, and third-party financial services platforms.
- Background in systems engineering or related fields, with understanding of distributed systems, security, and reliability.
- Familiarity with JSON, XML, OAuth, API gateways, and monitoring tools (e.g., logs, APM, alerting systems).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams, communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and document solutions effectively.
- Experience in fintech, payments, or banking integrations is a plus, along with knowledge of compliance and data privacy standards.
