Job Description
Data Scientist – Machine Learning & Python
We are looking for a Data Scientist with strong expertise in Machine Learning and Python to build data-driven solutions, develop predictive models, and translate complex business problems into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, train, and deploy Machine Learning models for business use cases.
- Perform data preprocessing, feature engineering, exploratory data analysis, and statistical analysis.
- Build predictive and classification models using Python and relevant ML libraries.
- Evaluate, optimize, and fine-tune models for accuracy, scalability, and performance.
- Work with structured and unstructured datasets to identify patterns and trends.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to understand requirements and deliver ML solutions.
- Implement model validation, monitoring, and performance improvement techniques.
- Document models, methodologies, experiments, and results.
- Stay updated with emerging ML, AI, and data science techniques and apply them where relevant.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Python for Data Science and Machine Learning.
- Strong knowledge of Machine Learning algorithms such as Regression, Classification, Clustering, Decision Trees, Random Forest, XGBoost, etc.
- Experience with Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn and data visualization libraries such as Matplotlib/Seaborn.
- Strong understanding of statistics, probability, data preprocessing, and feature engineering.
- Experience in model evaluation, hyperparameter tuning, and optimization.
- Good knowledge of SQL and working with large datasets.
- Understanding of ML model deployment and product ionization is an added advantage.
- Exposure to Deep Learning, NLP, Generative AI, or LLMs is a plus.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's/master's degree in computer science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 8-12 years of relevant experience in Data Science / Machine Learning.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with good communication abilities.
