Job Summary
We are looking for a Production Engineer with experience in interior, modular furniture, woodwork, or furniture manufacturing. The candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring production activities to ensure quality, productivity, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and monitor daily production activities as per project requirements.
- Coordinate with design, purchase, stores, quality, and installation teams.
- Read and understand furniture drawings, BOQs, cutting lists, and production drawings.
- Monitor cutting, edge banding, drilling, CNC, assembly, and finishing processes.
- Ensure production is completed as per approved designs and specifications.
- Monitor manpower, material, and machine utilization.
- Ensure production schedules and delivery timelines are achieved.
- Identify production bottlenecks and take corrective actions.
- Maintain quality standards and minimize material wastage and rework.
- Prepare daily production reports and maintain manufacturing records.
- Ensure workplace safety and adherence to factory procedures.
Requirements
- Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in furniture/interior manufacturing preferred.
- Good knowledge of MDF, plywood, particle board, laminates, veneers, and furniture hardware.
- Exposure to CNC, cutting, edge-banding, drilling, and assembly processes.
- Ability to understand technical/furniture drawings.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD or furniture design software is an advantage.
- Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Candidates
Candidates from modular furniture, kitchen, wardrobe, interior fit-out, woodworking, or furniture manufacturing backgrounds will be preferred.
