Hirely is recruiting on behalf of our hiring partners for remote Software Engineering opportunities across backend development, frontend development, full-stack engineering, open-source software, AI engineering, and modern software platforms.
These opportunities are ideal for experienced software engineers who enjoy building scalable applications, solving complex engineering problems, improving existing systems, contributing to open-source projects, and working on next-generation AI technologies. Depending on your background and the hiring partner's requirements, you may be considered for opportunities involving software development, AI engineering, GitHub contributions, open-source development, frontend engineering, backend systems, performance optimization, repository validation, code evaluation, or technical product improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software applications using modern engineering best practices.
- Build scalable backend services, APIs, frontend applications, or full-stack solutions depending on project requirements.
- Analyze, debug, optimize, and improve existing codebases for performance, maintainability, scalability, and reliability.
- Implement new features, resolve software defects, and refactor applications while maintaining clean and efficient code.
- Review, evaluate, validate, and improve source code, repositories, technical solutions, and software architecture.
- Contribute to GitHub repositories, open-source projects, software engineering benchmarks, or AI-assisted coding initiatives where applicable.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, research, and AI teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Write clear technical documentation while following software engineering standards, testing practices, and version control workflows.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: Software Engineering, Backend Development, Frontend Development, Full-Stack Development, Open Source Development, AI Engineering, or similar technical roles.
- Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Go, Rust, C++, C#, or similar technologies.
- Experience building web applications, REST APIs, backend systems, frontend interfaces, distributed systems, or cloud-based applications.
- Experience with Git, GitHub, software testing, debugging, CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and software architecture principles.
- Familiarity with React, modern frontend frameworks, cloud platforms, DevOps tools, Docker, Kubernetes, or distributed development workflows is beneficial.
- Experience contributing to GitHub or open-source projects, repository maintenance, feature development, performance optimization, or software modernization is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence (AI), Large Language Models (LLMs), AI-assisted coding, prompt engineering, software evaluation, or machine learning is beneficial but not required.
- Excellent analytical thinking, debugging, technical reasoning, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong written English communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment.
