Role Description The Vice President of Engineering is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. This role is responsible for leading the engineering organization, setting technical direction, and ensuring high-quality delivery of the GetAcqui.com platform and related services. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing engineering teams, overseeing software development cycles, collaborating with product and business leaders on roadmap priorities, and driving scalable, secure architecture decisions. The Vice President of Engineering will establish best practices for engineering operations, mentor leaders and individual contributors, and implement processes that support rapid iteration while maintaining reliability. This role also involves resource planning, vendor and tooling selection, and fostering a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Strong Engineering Management and Team Leadership skills, with experience building and scaling high-performing engineering teams.
- Deep hands-on experience in Software Development, including modern web architectures, cloud infrastructure, and secure, data-driven platforms.
- Proficiency in Project Management, with the ability to prioritize, scope, and deliver complex initiatives on time and within budget.
- Background in Product Development, collaborating closely with product, design, and business stakeholders to translate strategy into technical execution.
- Proven experience in a senior engineering leadership role (e.g., Director, VP, or equivalent) in technology startups or high-growth environments.
- Familiarity with AI, SaaS, marketplaces, or M&A-related platforms is highly beneficial.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills, with a data-informed and outcome-focused approach.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
