Role Description The Furniture Designer will be responsible for designing functional and aesthetically pleasing furniture for offices, lounges, and operational spaces associated with Modheshwari Travels & Logistics. Day-to-day tasks include developing design concepts, creating detailed drawings and specifications, selecting materials and finishes, and coordinating with carpenters and vendors to ensure accurate production. The role involves collaborating with internal teams to understand space, usage, and branding requirements, and aligning furniture designs with interior layouts and operational needs. The Furniture Designer will review prototypes, conduct quality checks, and make design adjustments based on feedback and practicality. This is an on-site role located in Ahmedabad.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Furniture Design skills with the ability to create practical and visually appealing furniture concepts.
- Candidates should possess Carpentry-related knowledge to understand construction methods, joinery, and material behavior.
- Candidates should possess expertise in working with Furniture as a product category, including ergonomics, durability, and usability.
- Candidates should possess Interior Design skills to align furniture with spatial layouts, lighting, and overall aesthetics.
- Candidates should possess Product Design skills to develop furniture that is user-centered, scalable, and efficient to produce.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., CAD tools, 3D modeling) and ability to create technical drawings and presentations.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects, and collaborate effectively with workshops and vendors.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Furniture Design, Product Design, Interior Design, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience in furniture or interior projects, especially in commercial or office environments, will be an advantage.
