About the Role
The Junior Full Stack Application Developer (React & Java) supports maintenance and enhancement of existing applications built on a React frontend and Java/Spring backend. The role focuses on bug fixing, small changes, and production issue support under the guidance of senior developers and leads.
Key Responsibilities
- Work on assigned tickets to fix bugs and implement minor enhancements in React UI components and Java/Spring REST APIs
- Develop small to medium change requests: UI tweaks, API changes, data validations, performance tuning, logging and monitoring improvements
- Analyze application logs and reproduce issues in lower environments under guidance to identify root causes and apply fixes
- Develop UI changes (forms, validations, error handling) and backend changes (DTOs, controllers, services, repository methods) following coding standards
- Support deployment and release activities by preparing change sets, validating smoke tests, and updating basic documentation
- Create and maintain simple technical notes, runbooks, and KB entries for recurring issues and standard fixes
Education
- BE / B.Tech / MCA / Engineering
Experience
- 6+ years of experience in application development and support, preferably in a full stack or application support developer role with React and Java/Spring-based applications
- Good understanding of React basics: components, props, state, hooks, and calling REST APIs from the frontend
- Basic experience in Java (Java 8+) and Spring/Spring Boot for building REST APIs, with knowledge of controllers, services, and repository patterns
- Basic knowledge of relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL/Oracle) and writing simple SQL queries
- Exposure to Git for version control and understanding of basic branching and pull request workflows
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with application support concepts: incident/problem/change management, SLAs, monitoring tools, and log analysis
- Strong debugging, analytical, and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams and end users
- Relevant industry certification such as W3Schools React Certification, IBM Java Development Professional Certificate, etc.
