We are seeking a highly motivated System-on-Chip Design Engineer to join our growing semiconductor design team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in SoC architecture, RTL design, IP integration, and microarchitecture development. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Verification, Physical Design, DFT, Firmware, and Validation to develop next-generation SoC solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop System-on-Chip (SoC) modules using Verilog/SystemVerilog.
- Participate in SoC architecture definition and microarchitecture design.
- Integrate third-party and in-house IPs into the SoC.
- Develop RTL for high-performance digital designs.
- Perform lint, CDC, and synthesis checks to ensure design quality.
- Collaborate with Design Verification teams to resolve functional issues.
- Work closely with Physical Design and DFT teams to achieve timing and implementation goals.
- Analyze simulation results and debug RTL issues.
- Support silicon bring-up and post-silicon validation activities.
- Prepare design documentation and participate in design reviews.
Required Skills
- 3–6 years of experience in SoC Design or RTL Design.
- Strong knowledge of Verilog and SystemVerilog.
- Experience in RTL design and microarchitecture development.
- Hands-on experience with SoC integration and IP integration.
- Good understanding of AMBA protocols (AXI, AHB, APB).
- Familiarity with clock/reset architecture and low-power design concepts.
- Experience with Lint, CDC, synthesis, and timing analysis.
- Knowledge of ASIC design flow.
- Good debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with ARM-based SoC architecture.
- Knowledge of PCIe, USB, DDR, Ethernet, or other high-speed interfaces.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Tcl.
- Exposure to Low Power (UPF/CPF) methodologies.
- Experience working with EDA tools from Synopsys or Cadence.
- Understanding of DFT and Physical Design flow.
Educational Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech in Electronics, Electronics & Communication, VLSI, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Good to Have
- Experience in semiconductor product companies.
- Exposure to complete ASIC/SoC development lifecycle.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
