Role Description This full-time Retail Designer role is an on-site position based in Mumbai. The Retail Designer will be responsible for conceptualizing and developing retail store layouts, window displays, and in-store visual elements aligned with brand guidelines and customer experience goals. Day-to-day tasks include space planning, creating detailed design drawings, collaborating with cross-functional teams, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring that designs are feasible, cost-effective, and executed to a high standard. The role involves preparing presentations, mood boards, and material specifications, as well as integrating graphic and interior elements to create cohesive retail environments. The Retail Designer will also participate in site visits, oversee implementation as needed, and contribute to continuous improvement of design processes and standards.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Retail Design and a solid understanding of Retail environments and brand experience.
- Proficiency in Space Planning and Interior Design to create functional, aesthetically pleasing layouts.
- Capability in Graphic Design to develop visual elements, signage, and branding within retail spaces.
- Experience with design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar tools.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Retail Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and vendors.
- Strong communication, presentation, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Previous experience in retail or commercial interior projects in Mumbai or similar markets is an advantage.
