Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Jewelry Designer role based in Delhi, India. The Jewelry Designer will conceptualize and develop new jewelry collections, including sketching designs, selecting materials, and refining pieces to meet brand standards. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with production teams and artisans, ensuring accurate fitting and finishing of designs, and working closely with merchandising or sales teams to align products with market trends. The role involves researching design inspirations, preparing design specifications and technical drawings, and reviewing prototypes to ensure quality, functionality, and wearability. The Jewelry Designer will also maintain organized design archives and support timely delivery of design inputs for production schedules.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Fashion Design and Fashion, with an understanding of styles, trends, and consumer preferences.
- Knowledge of Fitting and construction principles to ensure comfort, durability, and accurate proportions in wearable designs.
- Proficiency in sketching by hand and/or using design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, CAD tools for jewelry) to create clear design concepts.
- Attention to detail, strong aesthetic sense, and ability to translate concepts into practical, manufacturable designs.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with artisans, production, and sales teams.
- Relevant education in Jewelry Design, Fashion Design, Fine Arts, or a related field; professional training in jewelry or accessory design is an advantage.
- Prior experience in jewelry, accessory, or fashion design, particularly within manufacturing or retail settings, is preferred.
