Description
WREC is one of the largest electric cooperatives in the US with over 281,000 members and over 12,000 miles of distribution and sub-transmission line. WREC's service aea is located along Florida's Nature Coast in Pasco, Hernando, and Citrus counties and is conveniently situated between Tampa, Orlando and the gulf beaches. This position is designed to provide exposure to various departments and projects allowing the ability to apply academic knowledge in a real-world setting. It will also provide the chance to gain valuable hands-on experience at a dynamic and innovative distribution utility by collaborating with experienced professioinals, contributing to meaningfull projects, and developing a diverse skill set in electric distribution engineering.
INSTALL GROUND RODS FOR NEW CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE FOR SERVICE RELIABILITY.
REQUIRES PHYSICAL ABILITY IN SITTING, CLIMBING, BALANCING, STOOPING, PUSHING, CROUCHING, CRAWLING, REACHING, STANDING, WALKING, PULLING, LIFTING, USING FINGERS, GRASPING, TALKING, HEARING, DEFINED HEAVY WORK.
REQUIRES THE ABILITY TO ACQUIRE KNOWLEDGE OF ALL COOPERATIVE SAFETY RULES, POLICIES AND PROCEDURES.
REQUIRES ABILITY TO WORK IRREGULAR HOURS FOR ASSIGNMENT COMPLETION AND TO REPORT TO WORK ON SHORT NOTICE DURING EMERGENCY SITUATIONS.
STARTING PAY IS $24.11 AN HOUR.
SCHEDULED WORK HOURS ARE MONDAY - FRIDAY 8:OO A.M. TO 5:OO P.M.
Summary
REQUIRES A VALID FLORIDA (CLASS A) CDL LICENSE OR THE ABILITY TO OBTAIN ONE IN A TIMELY MANNER.
HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENT.
