Job Summary:
The cook provides daily meal service ensuring all meals required for the Department of Food & Nutrition meal services are ready at scheduled meal times following all department policies. This includes preparing/serving meals for patients, personnel, Meals on Wheels, Head Start, special functions and visitors. These duties are carried out in a competent and professional manner. All patient information is kept confidential. Accepts direction from the Lead Cook and Team Leaders as it applies to what they do.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Previous health care, restaurant, or hotel experience preferred.
- Must have ability to operate all types of Food Service equipment and work quickly in an organized manner.
- Must be able to read and standardize recipes.
- Must have basic knowledge of Food Safety Codes.
- Serv. Safe Certified preferred.
