We are looking for a Benefits Manager to join our team. The goal of this role at Wisk is to ensure that we support our global employees with the benefits they need, remain competitive with our offerings, and administer these programs and processes effectively. This role reports to the Total Rewards & People Operations team.

This is a hybrid work opportunity. At Wisk, this means working onsite at our Mountain View, CA office 3 days per week with flexibility for the remainder of the days.

In this role you will collaborate with the Sr Manager of Total Rewards & People Operations to develop and deliver market leading, competitive, and creative benefits programs to attract and retain top talent. Analyze current benefit trends, make recommendations for changes, and execute those plans seamlessly. Effective communication both internally and externally is crucial for employee and vendor management, as well as supporting compensation projects related to Wisk’s Total Rewards program, which will be among the key expectations of this role.

What You Will Do

  • Oversee the day-to-day administration of all benefits plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
  • You will participate in re-evaluating, implementing, and maintaining our U.S., Canadian, and New Zealand benefit plans and processes to maintain competitiveness, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with company goals
  • Manage the annual open enrollment process, including developing communication materials, conducting employee meetings, and ensuring accurate and timely system updates.
  • You have administered workers’ compensation processes and have knowledge of how timely these processes need to be. Working with our EHS team you will support any potential claims.
  • You will run our current Total Rewards programs such as AwardCo (employee recognition), BrightFunds (charitable giving), and look for new ways for Wisk to reward/recognize team members.
  • You will manage Wisk’s U.S. retirement fund through Fidelity, ensuring compliance with IRS regulations. You have knowledge of ERISA regulations and have gone through 401k audits in past experiences. If you have knowledge of RRSP (Canada retirement plans that's a plus!).
  • You will collaborate with HR Business Partner’s and employees who take a leave of absence (LOA), ensuring they are utilizing Wisk’s benefit plans to their full extent, tracking leaves appropriately, and ensuring payroll is aware of any updates needed based on employee status change.
  • You can analyze and resolve benefits inquiries from employees and people leaders, acting as the first point of contact from the People team.
  • Create communications to explain changes in benefits to employees and answer employee queries about benefits policies.
  • Serve as the primary contact for benefits vendors, insurance brokers, and third-party administrators, managing these relationships to ensure quality service. You will also manage the billing and payment process for benefits vendors.
  • Work closely with Benefits and Payroll vendors to ensure all electronic data files are set up for accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements

  • You have at least 5 years working with employee benefits programs and at least 8 years Total Rewards or Human Resources experience.
  • A plus if you are a Certified Benefits Professional or similar designation.
  • You have worked in technology or aerospace companies.
  • You have hands-on experience managing benefit plans, health & wellness programs, retirement plans (knowledge of ERISA regulations), compliance reporting such as 5500’s, non-discrimination testing, workers compensation reporting, and ACA reporting.
  • You have a deep and applied knowledge of Workday, Google Email, Docs & Sheets, Excel, VLookup.
  • You are well versed in U.S. law around various leaves of absence as well and compliance for benefit plans.
  • A successful candidate will be highly organized, self starter, detail oriented, and collaborative.
  • High level of discretion and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • A strong understanding of compensation methodology is a plus.
  • This role does not require travel.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay Range the Company expects to pay: $146,625 - $172,500 per year - The starting base salary within this range for this role varies based on factors such as your geographical location, and your relevant job-related experience that is consistent with a business necessity.
