Job Description

More about our mission and what we offer.

This role will be based out of our London office alongside our Europe and UK product team. While we appreciate the flexibility of remote working, being co-located in London is essential for effective teamwork and strategy development.

Your Mission

In this role, you'll be working as part of the Europe and UK regional team. This role will focus on building and improving Wise payment rails in Central Europe and the UK. You will work closely with the banking team to understand local payment schemes and work with engineering to build direct integrations with them. You will be responsible for Key Performance Indicators for our money movement infrastructure in Central Europe and the UK. You will work on improving speed, lowering cost and reducing friction for customers when they move money in the region.

Your Role

  • Own the efficiency and resilience of money movement rails in the UK and Central Europe
  • Identify key opportunities to enhance money movement infrastructure, helping customers move money instantly, with minimum costs and friction
  • Own the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the transfer product in the region, including cross currency and same currency payments
  • Build a comprehensive roadmap that significantly improves the transfer experience for customers
  • Work closely with banking partners, central banks and internal teams to establish direct access to payment schemes
  • Set best practices for how Wise implements direct access to payment systems

This Role Will Give You The Opportunity To

  • Have a significant impact on Wise's core product offering and customer experience
  • Work with a talented, diverse team to develop innovative payment solutions
  • Make data-driven decisions that measurably improve our service for businesses and consumers
  • Influence cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence
  • Potentially become the person who sets best practices for how Wise establishes direct access to payment systems
