Wise Pirates is a dynamic and forward-thinking company with a strong focus on digital and AI. We seek a highly motivated and creative Machine Learning/AI Engineer to join our R&D team.

The focus will be on innovative AI projects, namely Generative AI, LLMs, micro-LLMs, AI Agents, and other MarTech innovation projects, with applications in technology, marketing, and other industries. This role requires a combination of research, development, and software production, with responsibility for transforming ideas into impactful solutions.

The aim is to use the best of the existing technologies in AI workflows and build customized solutions on the top, with a worldwide ambition.

Responsibilities Might Include

• Research, design, and implement cutting-edge machine learning and deep learning systems, solutions or workflows, focusing on generative AI and large language models in ecosystems such as marketing, customer engagement, customer experience, human experience, and sales;
• Develop and operationalize innovation solutions, namely AI solutions, from data collection and processing to model deployment and monitoring, building unique outputs;
• Create and maintain scalable frameworks for the productization of AI-based software, ensuring performance and efficiency;
• Brainstorm experiments systematically and develop/build projects in areas such as data feeds, software integrations, digital assistants, NLP applications development, customer journeys hyper-personalization, AI-based sentiment analysis tools, predictive analytics, computer vision, AR/VR AI-driven content generation tools creation & optimization, AI-powered recommendation systems, Predictive Lead Scoring, Ai-Based Marketing Automation, AI Multivariable AB Testing, LLM-powered chatbots for customer support, AI for Dynamic Pricing, new generation of applications based on existing SMLs and LLMs and many others;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, marketing, product) to integrate AI solutions into commercial products and solve technological challenges, with a market-first approach but with a systematic experimentation approach to build innovation in a way where iterative failure, done in a data-centric way to build intelligence for the sprints decisions, is part of the process;
• Continuously explore new technologies, frameworks, and tools related to AI, machine learning, and other technology-relevant trends and evolutions;
• Conduct experiments and tests with AI models, optimizing them based on performance analysis and results;
• Collaborate inside the tech Hub, solving existing challenges across different clients and industries;
• Document Gen AI / ML / DL frameworks, algorithms, journeys, and custom innovations to ensure reproducibility and knowledge sharing within the team and with partner innovation hubs, such as R&D centers and universities;
• Be ready for an evolving ecosystem and role inside the spirit of innovation and service culture;
• Make part of the R&D team, influencing the decision-making process and being part of the always-evolving vision and strategy.
• Build IP and property-own innovation solutions and methodologies that comply with ethical guidelines, data privacy laws & regulations, and best industry standards
  
  

Ideal Technical Requirements

• With a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields (preferred), we seek a software developer / ML specialist;
• Proficiency in Python or similar;
• Proven experience with developing and deploying machine learning solutions in experimentation or production;
• Mid to Deep knowledge of generative AI, LLMs, and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and LangChain. (JAX, Keras, FastAI, Transformers, deepspeed, or other deep learning frameworks);
• Experience with data modeling and transforming unstructured data into usable formats, including data cleaning, preprocessing, feature engineering, analytics engineering, and ETL processes and familiarity with libraries such as sci-kit-learn, pandas, and Spark MLlib;
• Knowledge and/or experience in solutions like Vertex AI, Generative AI Studio, Model Garden, NotebookLM, Gemini, Generative AI App Builder, Github Co-Pilot, Azure Databricks or Azure Cognitive Service;
• Knowledge or experience in MLOps Tools, such as: MLflow, Kubeflow, Amazon Sagemaker, DVC, TFX, etc.
• Ability to follow software engineering best practices (version control, testing, continuous integration);
• Experience with low-code / no-code ecosystems and vision of architectural solutions to workflow automation when custom coding is not necessary/mandatory;
• Readiness to work with evaluating model performance using metrics like accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, Log Loss, MSE, and AUC.

Differentials

• Experience within the Adtech, Martech sector or experience in software engineer applied to services or innovation;
• Knowledge of cost and performance optimization techniques in LLM-based solutions;
• AI/ML certifications on Google Cloud or Microsoft Azure;
• Any Google Cloud Professional Certification;
• Any Microsoft Azure professional Certification;
• Experience with MLOps and model deployment infrastructure;
• Contributions to open-source ML projects or publications in relevant conferences/journals;
• Knowledge of agile methodologies and experience with collaborative and diverse work environments;
• Post grad in Data Science.
