About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior UX Designer to join our Arthrex Digital Innovation group. This role focuses on designing intuitive and effective user interfaces across medical device consoles, mobile, web, and desktop applications. The ideal candidate will work closely with product owners, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver user-centered designs that comply with regulatory requirements and optimize front-end performance. You will lead UX design efforts throughout product development, from concept to maintenance, helping improve the experience of surgeons and healthcare providers globally.

Responsibilities

  • Design user interfaces for medical device consoles, touchscreens, web, desktop, and mobile applications
  • Collaborate with product owners and technical leads to ensure user needs, timelines, and developer requirements are met
  • Optimize front-end UX design performance and ensure developer-friendly design handoffs
  • Develop user experience architecture including site maps, task flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes
  • Consolidate research insights, user feedback, and brand requirements into effective interface solutions
  • Maintain and evolve the global Arthrex Design System for scalable reusable UX components
  • Participate in research, design sessions, and usability testing with customers and stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with FDA and ISO Human Factors guidelines in medical device design
  • Work within Agile teams advocating best UX practices and contributing to documentation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams globally, managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Cognitive Science, Computer Science, Human Factors, HCI, or related field
  • 6+ years of UX design experience including sketches, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes
  • 3+ years software development experience
  • 2+ years working in Agile environments
  • 2+ years experience in user-centered research and usability reporting
  • Strong knowledge of GUI design, physical controls integration, and industrial design relationships
  • Proficient in Sketch, Figma; familiarity with Principle, Axure, Adobe Suite preferred
  • Experience creating interactive and animated prototypes
  • Working knowledge of React, Angular, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 is a plus
  • Knowledge of orthopedic anatomy and medical device interface design strongly preferred

Salary Range: $110,000 – $160,000
