About The Role
Chernoff Newman is looking for a
WordPress Developer to shape the digital presence of our clients’ brands. You will build
visually dynamic, accessible, and responsive websites that leave a meaningful impact. Your role will involve integrating cutting-edge design with technical expertise to create websites that are not only beautiful and interactive but also perform well and are scalable. This is a great opportunity to help define our
web development standards, processes, and team culture as part of a

Key Responsibilities
- WordPress Mastery: Build and customize responsive, visually striking WordPress websites, with a focus on animations, seamless interactions, and dynamic user experiences.
- Creative Leadership: Research and implement innovative design approaches, tools, and trends to elevate the digital offerings of the agency.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to translate strategic objectives into engaging, functional web experiences.
- Prototyping & Design: Create wireframes, prototypes, micro-interactions, and proofs of concept using various tools and techniques.
- AI Integration: Use AI-driven tools to streamline workflows, write code, and generate creative assets for website production.
- Human-Centric Design: Ensure all designs are user-friendly, accessible, and inclusive.
- Performance Optimization: Build websites that are optimized for performance, scalability, and SEO best practices.
- Version Control: Use GitHub and version control systems to manage code and maintain clean development workflows.
Requirements
What You Bring
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in WordPress development with a portfolio showcasing impactful projects.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in custom WordPress theme development
- Strong skills in front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Familiarity with animation libraries (GSAP, ScrollTrigger)
- Experience with design tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite
- Creativity & Curiosity: Passion for experimenting with new ideas and staying ahead of web design trends.
- Team Spirit: Collaborative attitude, inspiring and energizing colleagues.
- Problem-Solving: A proactive approach to troubleshooting and delivering solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have
- 3-5 years of experience in an agency setting
- Experience building and launching multiple websites end-to-end
- Familiarity with advanced interaction libraries (GSAP, Three.js)
- Knowledge of Core Web Vitals, image compression, and lazy loading
- Background in data-driven design or analytics-based decision-making
- Understanding of digital marketing strategies

Salary Range
$70,000 - $85,000
