About The Role

We are seeking a talented Frontend Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and backend engineers within small, agile teams to develop and refine our customer support platform. Your primary focus will be on implementing high-quality UI/UX designs from tools like Figma and Storybook, ensuring every interaction is intuitive and polished. You will work on enhancing performance, security, and usability to create a seamless customer experience.

Additionally, there may be opportunities to work with backend technologies, especially REST APIs, to support frontend features, with familiarity in PHP and Next.js being advantageous. Embracing remote work, you will participate in two-week development cycles, communicating primarily via Slack, and exercising autonomy and trust to deliver your best work in a flexible environment.

Qualifications

  • 4-6 years of professional frontend development experience
  • Proficiency in React, Redux, Next.js, CSS, Jest, and Cypress
  • Experience contributing to and utilizing component-based design systems
  • Strong eye for design details and a passion for creating beautiful, functional interfaces
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, especially in remote settings
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
  • Experience or familiarity with backend technologies such as PHP and REST APIs (preferred but not mandatory)
  • Availability to work during overlapping hours with 9 AM - 1 PM ET to ensure team collaboration
  • Proactive attitude towards personal growth and constructive feedback
  • Experience working in or adapting to remote team environments

Responsibilities

  • Implement and refine UI/UX designs from Figma and Storybook, ensuring consistency and quality
  • Collaborate with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to deliver seamless features
  • Enhance platform performance, security, and usability to optimize customer experience
  • Participate in agile development cycles, including planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
  • Contribute to and maintain a component-based design system for scalable UI development
  • Occasionally work with backend APIs, particularly REST APIs, to support frontend functionalities
  • Write and review clean, efficient, and maintainable code, promoting best practices within the team
  • Engage in ongoing learning and knowledge sharing to foster continuous improvement
