About the role
Wiraa is looking for a Backend Engineer to join our team. As a Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the server-side components of our web application. You will work closely with the frontend team to ensure seamless integration and efficient data flow. Responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure backend systems
- Designing and implementing RESTful APIs and database schemas
- Optimizing application performance and scalability
- Collaborating with the frontend team to ensure consistent and efficient data flow
- Participating in code reviews and contributing to the overall codebase
- Staying up-to-date with the latest backend technologies and best practices
Requirements:
- 2-5 years of experience in backend development
- Proficiency in a backend programming language such as Node.js, Python, or PHP
- Experience with relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL
- Familiarity with RESTful API design and development
- Understanding of software design patterns and architectural principles
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
