Key Responsibilities
Administer, maintain, and support Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and
Windows Server environments, including patching, upgrades, performance
tuning, and troubleshooting.
Provide after-hours on-call support as part of a 24x7 production operations
rotation, ensuring timely incident resolution.
Monitor system performance, capacity, and availability using standard monitoring
tools; proactively identify and resolve issues.
Implement and manage change management processes, ensuring all
infrastructure changes are planned, documented, tested, and executed in
compliance with standards.
Perform security hardening, vulnerability remediation, and incident response in
alignment with enterprise security best practices.
Support and manage virtualized environments using VMware vSphere, vCenter,
and Red Hat OpenStack.
Collaborate with network, database, security, and application teams to ensure
seamless infrastructure integration and operational stability.
Participate in disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity planning,
testing, and execution.
Automate operational and administrative tasks using Ansible, Python,
PowerShell, or Bash to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including system configurations,
procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Required Technical Skills (Top 5)
Server Administration: RHEL and Windows Server (3–5 years)
Networking Concepts: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing (3–5 years)
Security Fundamentals: Firewalls, IDS/IPS, vulnerability management (3–5
years)
Virtualization: VMware vSphere, vCenter, Red Hat OpenStack (3–5 years)
Automation & Scripting: Ansible, Python, PowerShell, Bash (3–5 years)
