Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Windows Kernel-Mode and User-Mode Device Drivers.
- Develop drivers using KMDF, UMDF, and WDM frameworks.
- Work on PCIe, USB, Storage, Network, Graphics, and I/O Drivers.
- Perform driver bring-up and enablement for new hardware platforms.
- Debug and resolve complex kernel issues including:
- BSOD (Bug Checks)
- Memory Corruption
- Deadlocks
- Race Conditions
- Performance Bottlenecks
- Analyze crash dumps and kernel traces using WinDbg.
- Implement and validate PnP (Plug and Play) and Power Management features.
- Develop solutions involving interrupts, DMA, and hardware-software interaction.
- Collaborate with firmware, hardware, validation, and system architecture teams.
- Support driver certification, validation, and production releases.
- Conduct root cause analysis across OS, firmware, and hardware layers.
Required Skills
- Strong programming skills in C/C++
- Expertise in Windows Driver Development
- Deep understanding of Windows Kernel Internals
- Hands-on experience with:
- KMDF
- UMDF
- WDM
- Strong debugging experience using WinDbg
- Knowledge of:
- Driver Architecture
- PnP Framework
- Power Management
- Interrupt Handling
- DMA Operations
- Experience with PCIe Drivers
- Experience with USB Drivers
- Experience with Storage Drivers
- Understanding of Windows OS internals and driver lifecycle
