Role Description The Windows Administrator L2 role at Texnere is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The Windows Administrator L2 is responsible for managing and maintaining Windows servers and related infrastructure, including installation, configuration, patching, and performance monitoring. Day-to-day tasks include handling user account management, group policies, backups, and system security, as well as troubleshooting issues related to Windows OS, network connectivity, and server applications. The role involves responding to incidents and service requests, coordinating with L1 support for escalations, and documenting procedures and changes in line with company standards. The Windows Administrator L2 will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability, optimize infrastructure, and support ongoing IT projects.
Qualifications
🔹 Virtualization & Clusters: Mandatory hands-on experience with Hyper-V Management and Failover Cluster Configuration/Management.
🔹 Server Lifecycle: Expert-level Server Commissioning, Decommissioning, and OS Migration (In-place and Side-by-side).
🔹 Maintenance: Proficient in OS Security Patching, Release Management, and Server Hardening as per policy.
🔹 Web Services: Troubleshooting and management of IIS environments.
🔹 Performance: Advanced Server Performance troubleshooting, monitoring CPU/Memory utilization, and tracking resources/event logs.
Job Responsibilities:
🔹 Proactive Monitoring: Real-time tracking of all servers, resources, event logs, and critical services using native and tools.
🔹 VM & Cluster Management: Creation, deletion, configuration, and snapshot management of Virtual Machines across Hyper-V 2012/2016 clusters.
🔹 Incident & Problem Management: Respond to, own, and resolve incidents while correlating related issues into problem tickets.
🔹 Reporting & Inventory: Delivering monthly server availability reports and managing comprehensive server inventories.
🔹 Recovery & Restoration: Performing full OS reinstalls during crashes and executing component/file system restorations during system failures.
