Assignment Description

Windchill Service Information Manager implementation is currently in progress at Volvo. We are seeking an experienced Senior Windchill Developer to provide development capacity to configure out-of-the-box (OOTB) features and/or develop customized features within Windchill to meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and implement Windchill PLM/PDM out-of-the-box (OOTB) features based on business requirements
• Develop customizations on top of Windchill OOTB capabilities (client-side and server-side)
• Support Windchill Service Information Manager and Service Parts implementations
• Perform Windchill system configuration and business administration activities
• Develop and maintain integrations using RESTful APIs, SOAP, and JMS
• Develop Java-based solutions leveraging Windchill libraries and frameworks
• Collaborate with functional teams, business stakeholders, and technical teams
• Troubleshoot, enhance, and optimize existing Windchill implementations

Required Skills & Experience

Domain Experience

• Mechanical Engineer with minimum 7 years of experience in the automotive or aerospace industry

Windchill Experience (Minimum 5 years in PDMLink)

• Functional:
• Hands-on experience with core Windchill PLM/PDM capabilities and features
• Configuration:
• Experience in system configuration and business administration of OOTB features
• Customization:
• Hands-on development experience extending OOTB features (client-side or server-side)
• Service Information Manager & Service Parts:
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience

Technical Skills

• Strong Java development experience, specifically with Windchill libraries
• Experience in Windchill integration development using:
• RESTful APIs
• SOAP Web Services
• JMS
