Requirements
Position Summary:
The Economics Data Analyst Intern cleans, manages, and analyzes datasets to identify economic trends, providing econometric modeling and insight. Responsibilities include querying databases, creating data visualizations, generating working models and reports.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Data Cleaning and Management: Collecting, cleaning, and organizing economic and company datasets from various sources
- Economic Analysis: Assisting with econometric modeling, analysis, trend impact, and hypothesis creation
- Research & Reporting: Conducting research to support economic reports, company target markets, customer value analysis, and internal executive briefings
- Visualization and Documentation: Creating charts, graphs, and dashboards to visualize findings
- Data Modeling: Utilizing Chicago Booth School empirical modelling as an approach to creating a working model for WIN Technology’s business problem
Background & Qualifications:
- Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or Finance
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and at least one programming language (Python, R, or Stata)
- Analytical Skills: Solid understanding of econometrics, statistics, and economic theory. Ability to adapt and learn empirical modeling
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to present complex findings
