Description
The Student Pathway Lead Teacher will lead the development, implementation, and expansion of the Scholars of Teaching Apprenticeship (SOTA) student pathway. This role is responsible for building a high school-to-teacher pipeline by designing, supporting, and teaching coursework; recruiting and supporting students; and coordinating program logistics in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
Program Development & Implementation

Design and teach a high school coursework pathway, beginning with an Introduction to Teaching course and growing into additional aligned opportunities

Collaborate with district and program leadership to align pathway goals with workforce and licensure needs

Continuously evaluate and improve the student pathway based on data and feedback
Instruction & Academic Support
-
Teach or support college-level education courses for high school students
-
Support high school instructors delivering pathway courses

Ensure alignment with postsecondary partner expectations and standards
Student Recruitment & Engagement

Develop and implement student recruitment strategies
-
Conduct interest surveys and analyze data to inform recruitment and program growth

Build awareness of the teaching pathway among students and families
Student Support
Partnerships & Collaboration
-
Collaborate closely with the SOTA Program Coordinator and Navigator
-
Coordinate with postsecondary partners to support dual credit or college course offerings
-
Serve as a liaison between K–12 and higher education partners
Program Coordination & Logistics

Manage scheduling, communication, and logistics for pathway programming

Maintain accurate records and documentation related to grant requirements

Ensure compliance with grant expectations and reporting requirements
