About the Department
Reporting directly to the HR Administration Director, responsible for the complex analysis of human resources (HR) related projects and programs. Gathers, analyzes, and validates a wide variety of HR-related data from numerous sources to develop various materials.
Position Duties
- Develops and maintains online tools and materials useful for communication and training in various subjects
- Responds to Public Information Act requests on behalf of Human Resources; gathers multitudes of data from various sources, conducts research, verifies data, and compiles final reporting; ensures responses are timely and accurate, including alerting County Attorney of requested redactions or issues; works with appropriate managerial, department and/or legal staff to review any questionable responses
- Serves as resource to staff on dissemination of public and protected information
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of internal happenings and HR laws/practices to guide development of materials
- Designs and creates various materials such as brochures, presentations, flow charts, training materials, etc.
- Manages, evaluates, and improves methods of existing communications in conjunction with HR/Benefits Division staff
- Reviews and maintains HR Sharepoint site and external Wilcotx.org Human Resources page, improving when necessary
- Participates on various planning and implementation teams, both internal and external
- Develops databases and spreadsheets, and prepares statistical reports and analysis using Microsoft Excel and other software
- Provides compensation and human resources reporting for management utilization by researching and compiling data
- Develops and maintains knowledge and skill in the use of computerized tools, databases, spreadsheets, and communication techniques
- Performs job analysis, benefits analysis, turnovers, human resources performance analysis, and compiles metrics
- Continues to expand knowledge of Human Resources/Benefits and other County requirements and entities to facilitate creation of tools and reporting
- Serves on cross-functional human resources team, as needed
- Maintains, updates and improves reporting for Employer of Choice strategic plan initiatives and goals
- Participates with subject matter expert teams, as appropriate, to accomplish projects or review of existing and proposed processes
- Continuous development of best practices for strategically utilizing the ERP system (Workday) for reporting and analysis within HR and County departments
- Attends all meetings and trainings, as required

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two (2) years of related human resources experience, including data analysis; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
Required within thirty (30) days of employment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP)
Prior experience with Workday HCM and/or reporting
Prior experience with video software/hardware and/or In-Design software
Experience with Sharepoint
Prior county or municipal experience
