About the role

Description

The Associate Data Analyst is responsible for using Wiland systems to build data elements, performing data quality analysis on assigned datasets, conducting research, and coordinating data loads. They also maintain data build and update schedules, interrogate data to ensure accuracy, consistency, reliability, and completeness, and act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) regarding data assets.

Essential Functions

  • Data Build & Documentation Assets
    • Contribute to establishing and evolving procedures or specifications for (i) building and updating data elements and (ii) evaluating data quality of those data elements. Procedures will specify a regular, established schedule for such updates and evaluation.
    • Execute those procedures and specifications, ensuring that data element builds meet established production schedules and meet or exceed data quality parameters.
    • Contribute to the creation and evolution of escalation procedures for addressing when data issues (e.g. problems, inconsistencies, oddities) are identified.
  • Data Load & Data Quality
    • As assigned, execute procedures or specifications for (i) updating data assets and (ii) evaluating data quality of those data assets.
    • Assist with data investigations and data loads.
Qualifications

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree. Must be able to produce college transcripts showing minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Candidates who have professional or educational experience in Classical studies, sociology, anthropology, archaeology, UI or UX design, communications, sociology, business strategy, business intelligence, business analysis, data governance, and/or extensive client/customer service are encouraged to apply.
  • 1+ years of professional experience in evaluation of data quality and applying data analysis in a business setting, with strong preference given to experience in direct and/or digital marketing.
  • 1+ years of professional experience with development of audiences, data products, and/or data assets.
  • Ability to investigate research and translate information, trends and data into recommendations, professional business documents and presentations.
  • Solid quantitative and analytical aptitude and the ability to apply those concepts in a business setting, identifying relevant business questions and conceptualizing quantitative solutions (key measures, reporting, analysis, etc.).

  • Location: Remote
  • Department: Corporate Development & Data Governance
  • Compensation Range: $50,000 - $64,000. Total compensation for this role also includes a variable component.
