About the role

Woodland Heights Senior Living, in Little Rock, AR, is seeking a compassionate and organized Scheduling Coordinator to join their team. This is a working position, meaning the individual will not only manage staff scheduling but also provide direct resident care as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) when needed. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, flexible, and passionate about supporting both residents and team members.

Key Responsibilities:

Scheduling & Administrative Duties:

  • Create, maintain, and adjust staff schedules to ensure appropriate coverage for all shifts
  • Manage call-offs, shift changes, and last-minute staffing needs
  • Coordinate with department leaders to align staffing with resident care needs and census changes
  • Monitor overtime and staffing budgets, making adjustments as needed
  • Maintain accurate scheduling records and communicate updates clearly to staff
  • Assist with onboarding schedules for new hires

Direct Care Responsibilities (CNA):

  • Provide high-quality, person-centered care to residents in accordance with care plans
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
  • Support residents with dementia and memory care needs using patience and empathy
  • Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff
  • Promote a safe, clean, and comfortable environment

Qualifications:

  • Active CNA certification in Arkansas 
  • Previous experience in assisted living, long-term care, or memory care preferred
  • Prior scheduling or staffing coordination experience strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or holidays as needed

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, lift, and assist residents as required
  • Must be able to perform CNA duties safely and effectively
