- High school diploma or GED
- 1–3 years of experience in Quality Control/Quality Assurance
- Working knowledge of lumber grades, wood defects, and dimensional tolerances
- Strong attention to detail and ability to make objective quality assessments
- Basic computer skills for data entry, reporting, and documentation
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment (standing, walking, lifting, exposure to dust and noise)
Preferred:
• Experience with lumber grading rules or quality standards
• Certification or training in lumber inspection or quality control
• Prior experience in a sawmill or wood products manufacturing facility
