About the role
HOST TASKS:
COORDINATOR HOST:
Works closely with management to organize and plan seating strategies
Assigns server and seating during the shift
Supports the coordinator when not assigned the position
GREETER SEATING HOST:
Create Excellent First Impressions
Seat Guests
Give Menu Presentation
Take Reservations using Open Table Reservations System
Sell Melting Pot concept over the phone and to walk-in guests (listen and collect "Perfect Night Out" information)
Sell Merchandise to Guest over the Phone (Prepare Merchandise Packages)
Assist guests in general
Cooperate with fellow Hosts to achieve team and guest service goals
Bus tables at peak load to insure guest satisfaction
Maintain Bathroom Cleanliness and Supplies During Shift
Greet and guide prospective employees during application process
Greet vendors
REQUIRMENTS
Ability to continuously stand or walk.
Ability to use an I-pad and learn to use reservations and seating software
Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs and lift frequently
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
Stay abreast of established safety practices and hazardous materials awareness.
Maintain acceptable appearance and conduct standards.
Work independently but also follow direction when given
Complete shifts sometimes late into the evening
Meet and maintain uniform and appearance standards
Communicate clearly and concisely on the telephone and in person with guests. Always polite, caring and respectful.
Follow food safety standards as well as COVID protocols
