About the role

If you are looking for an opportunity to develop your analytical skills, whilst contributing to the West Midlands Combined Authority's digital transformation plan, then this may be the perfect role for you. Our newly created Technology and Insight directorate have a brand-new role for a Data Coordinator to collect, manage, report, analyse and visualise data. You will provide access to data on everything from transport to health and wellbeing, to the environment across the West Midlands. Most importantly, you will use data from across the Combined Authority to help us demonstrate the impact we are having on local communities. As a Data Coordinator, you will manage data provided by internal and external partners. This data is essential to monitor our performance and impact as an organisation, to help us develop and manage our services, and to inform how best we can work with partners and local authorities to deliver a more prosperous and better-connected West Midlands which is fairer, greener and healthier. This role will be the single point of contact for stakeholders and will ensure that teams follow a structured process to improve the quality of the services we provide. Working within a collaborative team, this role comes with progression and provides a gateway into other domains of data management. The team are all about knowledge sharing and upskilling their team, and this opportunity will provide you with regular training sessions, the opportunity to attend annual conferences to learn more about the industry and work closely with STEM ambassadors.
