Additional Skills Required: Knowledge of Special Education programming, laws, and procedures to ensure compliance with IDEA and district policies related to special education services; Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and behavioral data; Case management of assigned students, which includes the development of standards-aligned IEPs, reporting on progress, and facilitating IEP meetings; Committed to continuous improvement and data-based decision-making; Effective written, verbal, and technology-based communication skills; Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of child growth and development, effective instructional strategies, classroom management, learning assessment and diagnosis, diagnostic tools, and research related to students with disabilities.

Desirable Skills: ESL Endorsement; Self-contained teaching experience at the elementary level preferred; Thorough understanding of specially designed instruction in literacy and math to support diverse learners; Strong knowledge of autism-specific teaching strategies, including visual supports, communication, social skills, and sensory regulation techniques; Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to implement individualized behavior plans; Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders; Ability to work with linguistically and culturally diverse students.
