What We Need
We are gearing up for summer and with the big soccer games coming to Seattle, we are looking for a talented hospitality professional to join our team as a seasonal, part-time Wine Bar and Event Server with the flexibility to work 15-20+ hours per week to meet the expected demand. We will have special bar hours to align to the big games through June and July, we use a scheduling app to send availability. This role will start in June and end in August or September.
What You Will Do
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and timely manner
- Take accurate food and beverage orders
- Possess strong knowledge of wine to provide excellent recommendations
- Provide storytelling about our the wines and winemakers
- Efficiently serve food and beverages, ensuring timely delivery
- Process payments accurately and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Set up and break down event spaces as needed
- Provide exceptional service to guests during events, including wine and food service
- Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor, even under pressure
- Work collaboratively with the event team to ensure seamless execution
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a server in a restaurant or bar setting.
- Strong knowledge of wine, including basic wine tasting and pairing techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid MAST permit
- Valid food workers permit
- TIPS certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Passion for wine and our mission to bring access to underrepresented wineries and winemakers
- Age 21+
