Job Description
The welding Engineer is responsible for leading, managing and improving all welding activities in the yard. This role involves technical analysis, process optimization and coordination with cross functional teams in the yard. He plays a critical role in ensuring weld integrity, qualification compliance and continuous improvement of welding techniques and procedures.
Technical Skills: Comprehensive knowledge of
- Various welding processes and metallurgy.
- Welding codes & standards.
- Welding inspection & testing requirements.
Leadership And Management Skills
- Manage project schedules by timely providing welding documents (WPS, WML, Weld sequence etc.)
- Coordinate with Production team to ensure implementation of weld procedures.
- Troubleshooting welding defects and production issues on-site
Soft Skills
- Develop various modules providing technical analysis by liaising with ERP team.
- Collaborate with internal teams across design, manufacturing, supply chain, and corporate functions to ensure seamless coordination.
Safety And Compliance
- Oversee compliance with regulatory, corporate, and safety standards, including labor, environmental, and information security protocols.
- Enforce PPE and safe welding practices in the yard.
- Carry out Risk assessment by identifying hazards and implement control measures
