Brief Position Description (Job Summary) 

The Service Writer is responsible for preparing accuratetimely repair estimates, maintaining well‑organized estimate documentation, and coordinating with customers to obtain repair approval. This position ensures clear and detailed communication with both customers and vendors and includes following up on all estimates to verify accuracy and ensure prompt completion. 

Job Type and ScheduleFull time, M-F 8-hour shift, in-office

What you would be doing:

  • Quote preparation: generate accurate repair estimates for our customers 
  • Provide accurate estimates within expected timeframes to customers by communicating with internal teams 
  • Maintain strong, professional relationships with internal and external customers 
  • Responsible for accurately entering data across multiple software systems. 
  • Monitor and record all estimates—approved, lost, denied, and accepted/invoiced. 
  • Generate reports as needed 
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner 
  • Additional job duties as assigned 

Education and experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required 
  • Some experience in material handling or similar industry preferred. 
  • Excellent customer service skills and mindset 
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities, with attention to detail 
  • Solid communication skills, both verbal and written. 
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc) preferred
