JOB SUMMARY
Weissman is seeking an experienced Accounting Operations Manager to lead key financial processes and support the day-to-day operations of our Accounting team. In this role, you will oversee month-end close activities, manage balance sheet reconciliations, and provide leadership to the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams to ensure accurate and timely financial operations.
This role plays a critical part in strengthening financial processes and improving operational efficiency across the organization. You’ll partner cross-functionally, support financial reporting, and lead process improvement initiatives that enhance automation and streamline workflows. RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage the month-end close process, ensuring sub-ledgers are balanced and journal entries are accurate and timely

Oversee and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy of assets and liabilities

Lead and develop the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams, including mentoring, performance management, and daily operational support

Identify process inefficiencies and lead automation and process improvement initiatives across accounting functions

Maintain and improve standard operating procedures across AR, AP, and financial accounting processes

Partner with IT and external consultants to implement system and process enhancements

Coordinate financial activities across the accounting team and provide support on GAAP-related matters

Support cross-functional initiatives and ad hoc financial projects

Serve as a key contact for external auditors during year-end audits and tax preparation

Assist with recruiting, training, and scheduling within the accounting team
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field (required)
Experience
-
1 to 3 years of experience in accounting operations within a corporate or retail environment

Prior experience leading or mentoring team members, managing accounting processes, or supporting cross-functional projects (management experience preferred)
Knowledge, Skills + Abilities

Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse personalities, set clear KPIs, and develop team members

Solid understanding of ERP systems (Infor M3 preferred) and how sub-ledgers integrate with the general ledger

Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional partners

Ability to drive process improvements, ensure quality standards, and support operational efficiency

Resourceful problem-solver with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
Certifications
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
