Job Description: Systems Integration Architect
Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled API Integration & Systems Engineer to design, configure, operate, and troubleshoot across Enterprise Environments. The role demands strong application integration capabilities along with application installation and system-level troubleshooting across AIX, Linux, and Windows environments.
You will ensure secure, resilient API connectivity while managing platform setup, certificate lifecycle operations, and end‑to‑end API integrations in a mission‑critical financial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Microgateway (MGW) Configuration & Operations
- Install, configure, and manage the Microgateways (MGW) for API connectivity.
- Set up and maintain inbound/outbound API routes using Static YAML and Dynamic API configurations.
- Implement TLS/mTLS, certificate chains, trust stores, keystore management.
- Configure API traffic policies such as rate limits, SLA timeouts, and throughput controls.
- Monitor MGW health, throughput, DLQ queues, and performance parameters.
2. API Integration & Security
- Design and define end-to-end systems integration architecture and communication flows.
- Define integration standards, architectural best practices, and governance controls for system-to-system communication
- Integrate applications with Swift APIs using MV‑SIPN security models (OAuth, PKI‑signed JWT, TLS 1.2+).
- Validate API requests and responses following OAS specifications.
- Implement API security controls such as authentication, authorization, RBAC, confidentiality, and integrity checks.
- Architect SSL/TLS communication flows, including trust boundaries, certificate governance, and secure channel design.
- Review and interpret architecture diagrams, deployment models, and technical specifications.
- Platform Support Across AIX, Linux, and Windows
- Lead application Installation, environment preparation and configuration, and troubleshooting applications on AIX, Linux, and Windows servers.
- Perform system checks, service validation, process monitoring, and log analysis.
4. Networking & Connectivity
- Work with Swift connectivity components - Alliance Gateway, SwiftNet Link, VPN, and HSM‑based certificates.
- Perform checks (DNS, ports, proxies, firewall, load balancers) and Troubleshoot HTTPS, routing, reverse proxy behaviour, and connectivity failures.
- Support integration with Enterprise API gateways (Apigee, Kong, MuleSoft, NGINX).
5. API Testing & Operational Validation
- Validate API calls using curl, Postman/Bruno, and command‑line tools.
- Perform end‑to‑end testing of Swift API flows (OAuth token, JWT, TLS/,TLS).
- Follow runbooks, technical documentation, and SOPs for deployments and support.
7. Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Work with business, product, and vendor, network and security teams for seamless integrations.
- Coordinate with Swift Support for escalations and troubleshooting.
- Participate in upgrades, testing cycles, new API version rollouts, and integration validation.
8. Documentation & Process Compliance
- Maintain configuration guides, support procedures, and system documentation.
- Adhere to security, compliance, and audit guidelines for certificates and API credentials.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in CS, IT or ECE
- Experience : 5 to 7 years system support, application integration, API operations, or similar roles.
- Certifications in API Integration, Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), or Security (Security+, CEH, CISSP). (Preferred)
- Experience in large scale or mission-critical banking, fintech, or financial messaging environments is an advantage
Skills & Attributes
Technical Skills
- Ability to analyse system architecture, integration patterns and deployment topologies.
- Strong networking fundamentals: DNS, routing, ports, proxies, firewall rules.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, API gateways, reverse proxies, and microservices.
- Hands‑on experience with Microgateway (MGW) or similar secure gateway technologies.
- Proficiency with OAuth 2.0 (Client Credentials, JWT Bearer), PKI, TLS/mTLS and certificate lifecycle.
- Knowledge of JSON, XML, and OpenAPI specifications.
- Experience with JMS/AMQP queues, message flows, and DLQ handling.
- Familiarity with SwiftNet PKI or equivalent enterprise security frameworks.
- Strong OS experience with AIX, Linux, and Windows.
- Strong HTTP/HTTPS and API troubleshooting abilities.
- Highly skilled with curl, Postman/Bruno, Linux CLI and log monitoring tools (Splunk, Kibana, Grafana).
