We are seeking a Sr. Fullstack Founding Engineer to join a dynamic, AI-first deep-tech startup based in Bangalore (HSR Layout). This role offers the opportunity to work as a high-impact individual contributor, taking full ownership of system architecture, code quality, and production readiness while collaborating directly with founders to solve critical business and technical challenges.
Role Overview
- Experience: 4 - 8 years of software engineering experience spanning both backend and frontend development with an AI-native approach.
- Location: Bangalore (HSR Layout)
- Responsibilities:
- Ship production-grade products rapidly, typically in weeks rather than quarters.
- Establish technical foundations for new products and mentor full stack engineering counterparts.
- Leverage modern AI-powered development tools to accelerate development.
- Collaborate closely with founders and team members to address business and technical challenges.
- Technology Stack:
- Backend: Node.js, Python, or Java (language-agnostic); REST/GraphQL APIs; PostgreSQL.
- Frontend: React, Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS.
- AI-Native Development Tools: Cursor, Windsurf, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, v0.
- AI Application Layer: Large Language Model (LLM) API integration (OpenAI, Anthropic), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, vector databases (Pinecone, pgvector).
- Cloud Infrastructure: AWS preferred, or GCP/Azure; containerization with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
