We are seeking a Product Engineer to join a team building a mobile-first entertainment platform focused on short-form episodic content.
In this role, you will:
- Build and own the ranking and discovery engine that determines what millions of viewers see next
- Design full-stack recommendation features including candidate retrieval, real-time ranking, feature stores, and serving
- Work with GenAI-native ranking technologies using multimodal embeddings, large language model (LLM)-generated summaries, and agentic recommenders
- Scale data pipelines processing billions of events and optimize services to achieve sub-50ms latency
- Run experiments and own key metrics such as watch-time, completion, discovery depth, and content diversity
Requirements:
- 2-5 years of experience building production recommendation or ranking systems
- Strong programming skills in Python and Java or Kotlin
- A product mindset with the ability to design user-focused features
- Experience with LLM-powered retrieval, embeddings, A/B experimentation, or mobile engineering is a strong plus
Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India (5 days onsite)
