We are seeking a Founding Designer to join a remote team based in India. This role requires a designer who thinks like a product manager, is willing to challenge ideas that do not serve the user, and can build a design system from scratch.
The ideal candidate is passionate about micro-interactions and detail-oriented design, ensuring every component feels coherent and polished. You should be curious and proactive in exploring new design tools and technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Design and refine user interfaces with a strong focus on micro-interactions and user experience.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to create cohesive and high-quality designs.
- Build and maintain a comprehensive design system from the ground up.
- Advocate for the user by pushing back on features or designs that do not enhance the user experience.
- Stay updated with the latest design tools and trends, experimenting with new technologies to improve workflows and outputs.
Requirements:
- 3 to 6 years of experience in design roles.
- Strong understanding of product management principles and user-centered design.
- Experience creating and managing design systems.
- Familiarity with modern design and prototyping tools.
- Ability to work remotely and collaborate effectively with distributed teams.
