We are seeking a Director of Engineering to lead and build a new engineering organization from the ground up in Bengaluru, India. This is a unique opportunity to be the first hire and establish the culture, standards, and roadmap for multiple teams including Reinforcement Learning Environments and Forward Deployed Engineering.
Responsibilities:
- Build and lead the engineering organization in India, starting from zero.
- Set the engineering culture and hiring bar for the new teams.
- Define and execute the technical roadmap for the organization.
- Collaborate closely with leadership based in the US.
Requirements:
- 8 to 13 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Proven ability to build and scale engineering teams.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Experience with Reinforcement Learning or related AI environments is preferred.
- Willingness to work in-office in Bengaluru.
Compensation: Competitive salary range of ₹80 to 160 LPA, strong equity over 4 years, bonus potential of 10–100% of base salary, and a housing bonus in the first year.
