Role Description The Wedding Event Planner is a full-time, on-site role based in Salcette. This position is responsible for managing the end-to-end planning of weddings, including initial client consultations, venue selection, vendor coordination, timeline development, and on-the-day event execution. The planner will work closely with clients to understand their vision, manage budgets, prepare detailed event plans, and ensure all logistics and services are delivered smoothly. Daily tasks include coordinating with caterers, decorators, photographers, and other partners, overseeing setup and breakdown, handling last-minute changes, and maintaining clear communication with clients and the internal team. The role also involves maintaining high standards of customer service, problem-solving on-site, and ensuring each event reflects Exotic Goa’s commitment to quality and client satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Strong Planning and Event Planning skills, with experience managing multiple events or projects simultaneously.
- Specialized Wedding Planning skills, including coordinating ceremonies, receptions, and related functions.
- Proficiency in Budgeting and cost management to plan and deliver events within agreed financial parameters.
- Excellent Customer Service skills, with the ability to build trust, manage expectations, and respond calmly under pressure.
- Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities, with keen attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for working with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Ability to work on-site in Salcette, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
- Prior experience in wedding or event planning, hospitality, or related fields is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with local venues and vendors in Goa is an advantage.
- Diploma or degree in Event Management, Hospitality, or a related discipline preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
