Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team at Providence Elementary School. This full-time position is designed for individuals who are committed to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of early childhood education principles and be able to create engaging learning experiences that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Foster positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues to support student growth and development
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to help each child reach their full potential
- Incorporate a variety of teaching methods, including play-based learning, hands-on activities, and group projects
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to plan and coordinate school-wide events and activities
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom, ensuring all materials and resources are readily available
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any concerns
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification or license in early childhood education preferred
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children in an educational setting
- Strong knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and families
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for teaching young children
