About The Role
We are seeking a skilled AEM Developer to join our dynamic team at KMM Technologies, Inc. The ideal candidate will support the development and implementation of digital consumer experiences leveraging Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). This role involves building and integrating AEM components, ensuring seamless deployments, and providing comprehensive documentation and knowledge transfer to our clients’ personnel. The AEM Developer will work closely with the AEM Technical Architect and will be responsible for translating stakeholder requirements into scalable, high-performance solutions. The position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative digital projects, including personalized portals, content management systems, and integrations with third-party systems such as MuleSoft.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience will also be considered. Candidates should have between 3 to 5+ years of hands-on experience in AEM development and implementation, with at least 1 year working with AEM as a Cloud Service. Senior roles may require more extensive experience, ideally over 5 years. Proficiency in Java, HTL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks is essential. Candidates must have a proven track record of designing and developing reusable AEM components, templates, and workflows, along with familiarity with CRX/DE repository, Sling models, and OSGi framework. Experience with AEM Cloud Manager for CI/CD pipelines, Git version control, and integrating REST APIs or third-party systems is highly desirable. Strong communication skills, experience working within Agile teams, and the ability to mentor junior developers will be considered advantageous.
Responsibilities
The AEM Developer will be responsible for designing scalable solutions aligned with digital objectives such as personalized student portals and content management systems. They will translate stakeholder requirements into technical specifications, utilizing AEM Sites, Assets, and Forms. The role involves building custom components, templates, and workflows using HTL, Java, OSGi, and frontend technologies like React. Conducting code reviews, testing, and deploying solutions through Cloud Manager pipelines will be part of daily activities. The developer will optimize system performance, especially during high-traffic periods such as enrollment seasons, by implementing caching strategies and configuring dispatchers. Managing upgrades, migrations, and Adobe updates, along with providing ongoing production support and documentation, will be essential. The role also entails implementing secure solutions, monitoring systems, and ensuring adherence to best security practices. Working within Agile teams, collaborating with content authors and other stakeholders, and mentoring junior team members are key responsibilities. Additionally, the developer will work on integrating AEM with external systems via MuleSoft, ensuring seamless data flow and connectivity. Adherence to contractual obligations, NDAs, and effective knowledge transfer at project completion are also crucial aspects of the role.
