Senior Site Reliability Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Reliability Engineers possessing a robust background in full stack development and a demonstrated commitment to ensuring system reliability and performance. Preferred candidates will demonstrate proficiency in resiliency, availability enhancements and proactive capacity planning, as well as incident management. They should exhibit adeptness at automation, possess a comprehensive understanding of the entire application stack, and be capable of identifying failure points or performance bottlenecks. Proficiency in reviewing and tuning SQL queries or multi-tenant SaaS hosted application code is essential. Individuals with strong problem-solving skills and a keen focus on observability and system improvements are highly encouraged to apply.

What You’ll Be Doing As A Part of Our Team

• Reliability and Performance: Proactively review and enhance system capacity, resiliency, and availability. Implement fixes and improvements to ensure optimal performance.
• Observability and Resiliency: Develop and maintain observability tools and practices. Regularly review system resiliency and recommend enhancements.
• Full Stack Expertise: Utilize your full stack experience to investigate and resolve issues across the entire technology stack, including opening and reviewing code as necessary.
• Database Management: Perform SQL query reviews, investigations, and troubleshooting to maintain database integrity and performance.
• Incident Management: Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
• Collaboration: Work closely with development and operations teams to implement reliability improvements and best practices.
• Hybrid Cloud Environment: Manage and optimize systems in a hybrid cloud environment, ensuring seamless integration and performance.
  
  

What You Should Have To Qualify

• Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) or similar role.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in observability tools and practices.
• Deep experience of infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
• Expertise in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Go, or PowerShell.
• Strong background in full stack development, SQL, and database performance management.
• Solid understanding of networking, security, and system administration.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent investigative skills for incident management and troubleshooting.
• Resiliency: Ability to assess and enhance system resiliency.
• Collaboration: Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Hybrid Cloud: Experience working in a hybrid cloud environment.
  
  

Ideally, You Would Also Have These

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
• Familiarity with multiple observability platforms (Dynatrace, Prometheus/Grafana, ).

During interviews, we'll discuss your qualifications and expectations, striving for a competitive and fair offer. The initial hiring range for this position is: $112,100 - $151,300.
