Hi, I’m Vlad, the lead of the SocialBee development team at WebPros and your future manager. I originally joined SocialBee as a co-founder and COO, and over the past 7 years, I’ve worn many hats—ranging from operations and product to engineering. Today, I lead the technical side of SocialBee, working closely with a tight-knit team to improve our platform, evolve our processes, and deliver real value to our users.

We’re looking for a Fullstack Java + Angular Developer to join our mission. You’ll work across the stack—building features, improving performance, and helping scale a product used by thousands of businesses. From the user interface to the CI/CD pipeline, your work will shape the customer experience and the technical direction of the platform.

You’ll thrive in this role if you enjoy taking ownership, moving fast, and figuring things out on your own. Our team is remote-first, async-friendly, and self-directed—we value clear communication, shared goals, and getting things done. Your Role

We are seeking a Fullstack Developer with expertise in Java and Angular to contribute to the technical design and development of the SocialBee web application.

In this role, you will be involved across the entire technical spectrum of the SocialBee platform—from user interface to backend services, scalability, release management, deployments, monitoring, and production support.

You will play a key role in translating the Product team’s vision into reality, enhancing the platform, and ensuring it remains modern and efficient by leveraging the latest technologies.

Your Impact In The First 180 Days

We don’t believe in endless checklists of requirements. Instead, here’s what success looks like in your first 190 days and beyond:

  • 30 Days: Complete onboarding and gain a solid understanding of our technology stack. Contribute by delivering smaller tasks, resolving bugs, and assisting with support tickets.
  • 60 Days: Develop familiarity with several key modules of the product. Begin delivering end-to-end features of moderate complexity, covering data structures, backend logic, and frontend components.
  • 120 Days: Get up to speed with our CI/CD processes and perform your first production deployment. Learn to use our monitoring and alerting tools, and begin tracking application behavior in a live environment.
  • 180 Days: Achieve a working knowledge of all platform modules and begin handling higher-complexity development tasks.

From there, the path is yours to shape. You may choose to specialize as a domain expert in one of our core product areas—such as Social Media Posting, Analytics, or Engage—or dive deeper into a specific technical focus. You may even be called upon to lead the technical vision for one of our major roadmap initiatives.

You’ll Thrive Here If You

How We Work

  • Team & Workflow: Remote-first team based in Romania with an optional office in Cluj-Napoca. Scrum-based process with 3-week sprints, regular retros, and minimal meetings (~10-15% of your time).
  • Collaboration & Ownership: High-agency environment where developers take full ownership of tasks and actively contribute to process improvements.
  • Tech Stack & Tools: Angular 10+, Java 17+, SpringStack (SpringBoot, SpringSecurity, SpringSocial), Hibernate, REST, JPA2, RabbitMQ, MySQL, Jenkins, Git
  • Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS-hosted infrastructure using NewRelic and CloudWatch for monitoring
  • Code Quality & Coverage: Currently limited test coverage, focused on critical flows. Expanding investments in testing and test strategy expected in 2025
  • Releases & CI/CD: Weekly product deployments using Jenkins and fully automated CI/CD pipelines

Interview Process

  • Screening Interview (30-45 min): A conversation with Florian to get to know each other, introduce you to WebPros and the SocialBee team, and explore your motivation and experience. You’ll also get insight into our culture and what to expect from the role.
  • Technical Interview (60 min): A deep dive with Vlad (Hiring Manager) and one team member. You’ll discuss the product, the team’s way of working, and the broader context of the role. We’ll assess your experience with our tech stack through situational and past-project-based questions (e.g. challenges with multithreaded systems and how you solved them).
  • Coding Interview (60 min): A collaborative live coding session with Vlad and a team member. The task may include front-end and back-end work, depending on your strengths. We want to understand how you approach new challenges, write code in an IDE, collaborate under pressure, and communicate your thinking.
  • Offer Talk (30 min): Final discussion with Vlad and Florian to walk through the offer details, hear your questions, and make sure everything is transparent before we (hopefully) welcome you on board.
