Role Description The webMethods Developer will design, develop, and maintain integration solutions using Software AG webMethods within complex, distributed environments. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing integration flows, configuring adapters and APIs, troubleshooting and optimizing existing interfaces, and ensuring secure and reliable data exchange between systems. The role involves collaborating with architects, business analysts, and other developers to translate integration requirements into robust technical solutions, as well as documenting designs, deployments, and best practices. This is a full-time hybrid role based in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area, with a mix of on-site collaboration and some work-from-home flexibility.
Qualifications
- Strong experience with webMethods Integration Server, Broker or Universal Messaging, and related components (e.g., API Gateway, MWS).
- Practical skills in designing and implementing integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, XML/JSON, and messaging patterns.
- Proficiency with Java or other relevant programming/scripting languages for extension and customization of integration solutions.
- Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns, middleware architectures, and best practices for performance, security, and scalability.
- Experience working with relational databases
- Ability to analyze requirements, produce technical designs, and create clear documentation for integration flows and configurations.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and capability to troubleshoot complex integration issues in production environments.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams in a hybrid on-site/remote setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
