About the role
About Web Surfing Studios (WSS)Web Surfing Studios (WSS) is a non-profit community of aspiring developers collaborating to enhance their technical abilities and understanding of modern software processes.
To support this mission, we offer a volunteer-run structured program run by a Senior Engineer designed to teach and mentor aspiring developers in the technical skills and processes required to deploy real-world sites and applications. Our training covers everything from web development to cloud infrastructure. The goal is for developers to finish training with a comprehensive skill set and tangible examples that will set them up for success in their careers. We've been running this program for over 5 years, and many of our members have gone on to have successful careers in tech.
We teach you the skills to grow as a developer, and in return help us build and expand the program's resources (learning platform, development tools, etc.) which will support future members.
Why Join?
WSS provides participants with the chance to build skills, develop portfolios, and gain hands-on experience. You'll also benefit from unlimited mentorship, professional development, and access to a strong network.
